Have you ever been asked to show your ID? Was the person asking for it Hispanic? If not, then you can imagine my surprise when Samuel, who lives just south of the new "Guerrilla Garden" on Valley Street, asked to see my ID. He is concerned for his 3-month old baby and doesn't know if I am a pedophile, I guess. Maybe my name "Phillips" sounds like some kind of a "phile."

It was probably the fourth time I have been there this week, cleaning up trash, trimming brush, mowing down some weeds, starting a crude well, planting the free sunflower seeds from Heidi Holiday (only 11 seeds in the packet).

I think I need to prepare a flyer to distribute to the neighboring 4 block area to clarify who I am and what I am up to. We may get rain tomorrow and that will be something I can do at home.
