Rosebank Neighbors Meeting Minutes
April 15, 2021 via Zoom
I. Debbie Sykes (Nashville Wildlife Conservation)
⦁ Wildlife in our backyards - coexisting is their only option
⦁ At the wildlife hospital, the 2 main issues are lawnmower injuries and kidnapping.
⦁ Animals that are trapped and re-located only have a 5% success rate.
⦁ How you can help your wildlife neighbors:
⦁ close dumpsters, bungee cords over trash cans
⦁ look before you mow...or mow at the highest setting
⦁ find alternatives to pesticides, herbicides, and rodenticides
⦁ help turtles cross the road in the direction they are going
⦁ Time - each animal receives minimum 1 hour of care per day (x 25 turtles, 10 Eastern Cottontails, 14 oppossums)

IV. Beautification Commission (Tony and Chris)

V. Brittany/Barclay Contextual Overlay
⦁ Barclay/Brittany area is working on pursuing a new contextual overlay. Overlays create a height/width ratio limit. You can still build 2 houses on lots, but it limits height, driveways, front-facing garages.
