Whilethe newly discovered photograph is black and white, the version of the image on the album cover is colorized. Edwards wonders whether Farmer, who was also a photography instructor, used the image to teach his students how to colorize photos.

The museum has also identified the mysterious stick man in the image: His name was Lot Long, and he was a 69-year-old roof thatcher born in the town of Mere, Wiltshire, in 1823. At the time of the photograph, he was a widower who lived in a small cottage.

At other times it is a character seen through a mirror, an alter-ego who represents a fictional part of their inner world who has been set free onto the street to interact. It may be a branding element, a logo, or signature that lays claim to the artwork it is attached to. By itself it is often a form of marking territory; a practice begun by graffiti writers decades ago.

Many street artists have a discernable style, that is true; a hand-style, a recurrent motif, color palette, a topic that reappears, a technique of application, even a likely location in the urban landscape where they are most likely to appear.

Of that number, fewer have developed a character or a motif so well defined in our minds that it can stand alone, but we have found a few over the decades. Each is imbued with memory, with place, with personality, with character.

Welcome to BSA Images of the Week as we head into Passover and Easter. If street art reflects society, and we know that it does, Governor Cuomo is in hot water and may not keep his job. But then, we thought the same about the war criminal George Bush and the grifter Trump, so never mind.

Most of these names are seen on the street and it is always interesting to see how the work translate to the framed pieces on gallery walls. Included in this offering are a number of individual pieces that span a wide range of styles and one can clearly see these Street Artists going forward in their personal explorations.

A collection of 30 artists on the street art scene are contributing to the vision of the adoorable Luna Park and her co-curator Billi Kid. Ms. Park, a well-travelled street art photographer who calls Brooklyn home, is among a very select group of intrepid souls cris-crossing the borough by any means possible to get the right shot.

Well regarded and always smartly outfitted, Ms. Park and Mr. Kid have added a bit of poetry to the street art oeuvre by decorating the departure, edifying the entrance, festooning the frontage, and gilding the gateway!

We become what we behold as a casual 5-minute point-and-click game about news cycles, vicious cycles, and infinite cycles. Capture moments with your camera and see how the squares and circles react! How to Play We Become What We BeholdThe game features multiple characters randomly walking about on the screen. The only move you can make is to photograph these characters. When you aim and shoot, the photo you capture appears in the middle of the screen and is displayed on a small TV for all to see. So be careful what you decide to publicize, as this is the gist of the game.

There are several characters in the game. Most of the characters at the beginning are comprised of "normal peeps" with square and round heads. You'll find a few stragglers in the group, like a couple in love, a man with a hat, an angry man, and a cricket.

One of the first characters to enter the "normal peeps" is the man with the hat. It's hard not to take a photo of him since all other photos of normal peeps are less than satisfying regarding what happens when their photos are on display. When you take a photo of the man with the hat, and all the other characters see that photo, every normal peep now wants to wear a hat.

When you photograph the couple in love, and they are on public display, they will soon be shamed. And you will likely not see many couples in love roam the streets much anymore. After all, "Who tunes in to watch people get along?"

This is where it gets interesting. When you photograph the angry person, if you don't have to catch them yelling at anyone, you will be urged to "catch 'em while they're doing something." The only thing they do is yell, so that is something you're looking for. Take a photo of them yelling, and the media frenzy begins, aka crazed square attacks.

Once you shoot anger in the photos, it's hard to go back to normalcy. The normal peeps will become increasingly afraid of each other, snub each other and then the squares and circles start turning against each other. When the normal peeps turn red, they start to hate each other. When this happens, and you photograph it, violence and hatred begin spiraling toward a violent climax.

We Become What We Behold is in a league of its own, and if you've enjoyed playing it, browse our casual selection of games category for more. Another game you may enjoy is Geometry Dash Online, which tests how well you can keep up with the rhythm. You could also return to a classic with Atari Breakout or Bubble Shooter Classic to get your mind off societal cycles and onto good old classic fun.

The city has been on edge since a white supremacist who attended similar rallies was accused of killing two men who were defending teenagers from anti-Muslim taunts on a train last week. Police are anticipating violence if the demonstration goes forward as planned.

Tensions in Portland have been building for months between those upset over the election of Trump, race and policing, and an increasingly agitated and alienated minority of Trump supporters who organize online.

It was Gibson who organized another protest in Portland in April, which he called the March for Free Speech, where Jeremy Joseph Christian, the 35-year-old charged with murder this week in the train stabbings, was photographed giving a Nazi salute and making white supremacist statements.

Under federal law, guns are banned on the federal property where the rally is scheduled to take place. But under Oregon law, they are allowed on city sidewalks and streets outside the plaza, across the street from where Muslim, interfaith, LGBTQ, anti-fascist and other groups will be staging rallies in opposition.
