Dearest Family and Friends,

We humbly ask for you to continue praying for Joshua.  Last night he was experiencing blurred, glitchy vision.  A doctor examined Joshua in the evening and he was able to visually respond to his cues.  Thanks be to God! He indicated that Joshua’s scans should reveal more regarding this problem.  Let’s pray his vision problem is just a side effect of the morphine, which we had them discontinue. Thus far, Joshua is still in much pain.  Please pray it subsides soon, as well as the nausea. 

Presently, Joshua still has drainage tubes within his head releasing the excess fluid.  Please pray they will be removed soon.  They are very bothersome to him and bringing down his spirits.     His discharge depends heavily upon the removal of those tubes.  Their protocol is to remove one at a time.  That being said, it looks like we might be here for a while.  The recovery period has been very difficult for Joshua.  Presently, his spirits are very low.  Emotionally, it’s very difficult for him to be here and for us to watch him suffer. 
Please pray for his hope, peace, and joy to be restored.  It’s been a very exhausting and rough day for all of us.
 
Tomorrow, Friday, we will see his scans and hear about his results.  Thank you for all your prayers.  I would also like to thank all of you who have visited him in the hospital. I can’t even begin to tell you how much your visits have meant to him, Marty, and me.  Also, I can’t thank all of you enough who are traveling to our home to feed my children and parents.  It’s been such a blessing to them and allowed them to drive to the hospital and spend more time with Joshua.  So grateful for you!

If you would like to visit Joshua, we strongly encourage you to come. His room is on 3 North, Room 322.  Your visits would uplift his spirits.  We are so grateful for all of you!
