Flex Studio offers charming 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom studio-style apartments and one 2-bedroom, 1 bathroom apartment. These units are designed to cater to your convenience. With plenty of parking spaces available, you'll never have to worry about finding a spot after a long day.

The prime location of Flex Studios ensures that you're always just minutes away from the best that Tuscaloosa has to offer. Conveniently located right off I 20/59, exit 73, you'll have easy access to the finest dining, grocery stores, and shopping centers in town.

Flex Studios is also less than 4 miles from the vibrant campus of The University of Alabama, making it an ideal choice for students and faculty members alike. Our affordable studio rates and short-term leases ensure that you can live comfortably without breaking the bank.

This studio space is less specialized but more flexible than our other two studios. It has more floor space than the Sound Studio for situations when multiple microphone setups are needed, such as band or ensemble recordings. It includes a networked audio interface that can be used with the Mac Mini in the equipment rack, or that can send audio over Ethernet for live mixing in our Sound Studio. Though our Video/Photo Studio is generally a better setting for capturing images, the Flex Studio does include a backdrop kit with white, green, and blue paper rolls and an overhead lighting grid. Any of our video or photographic equipment can be requested for use within it.

To book this studio, please complete this form at least one week in advance of your first recording session. A qualified audio engineer must be present at all sessions to supervise the recording. You may bring your own engineer if they have been certified by SIMS, or you may alternatively request a SIMS Support Specialist to supervise your session.

The One Button Studio is perfect for anyone looking record and produce a lecture, brainstorming session, or any other asynchronous material. Utilizing the One Button software, this studio only requires you to bring a flashdrive to produce your video. It is equipped with an iMac computer, camcorder, pre-mirrored plexiglass whiteboard, and of course the Button.

The Flex Studio (McCain G-45) is located within room G-43 on the terrace level of the library. Multiple persons are allowed per reservation but only one keycard will be used for the reservation/door.

The equipment listed is available for check out via the McCain Library for use inside and outside of The Flex Studio. ASC Community can either head to the circulation desk or reserve equipment in advance via the link below.

This expansive collection of flexible LED lighting gear provides everything you need for impeccable lighting. Create Peter Hurley's signature lighting setup or use to light your next film. The kit includes a pair of 1x3' bi-color LED mats and a 1x2' bi-color mat, each with a dimmer, AC power adapter, Scrim Jim Cine frame, full-stop diffusion fabric, grip head, and yoke mount. It all packs securely in the provided rolling case.

Returns

You may return most products up to 30 days after receiving your order. Please make sure that the products are not used or damaged. Refunds are processed within 10 days of Westcott receiving the returned item. The customer is responsible for covering the cost of shipping returned merchandise to Westcott.

When an order is placed, your payment source will be charged at the time of purchase, not when the item ships. Sales tax will be calculated and applied to your order as required by law and will be displayed during the checkout process.

With a groundbreaking form factor, Flex Cine LED mats have an adjustable light spread up to 360-degrees. These pliable mats also designed with built-in mounting options including hook-and-loop edging, powerful magnetic corners that support the weight of the mat, and metal grommets for hanging. They're the only flexible LED mats backed by a lifetime limited warranty.

These flexible LED lights produce brighter output than other LED panels on the market. They offer an outstanding quality of light with impressive color accuracy and flicker-free performance up to 960 frames per second.

These ultra-durable LED panels with a water-resistant IP 64 rating up to the connector. Flex Cine LED mats connect to a Flex Cine Dimmer via heavy-duty cables with TE-9 pin connectors. These cables are equipped with Mat Sensing Technology that allow Flex Cine Dimmers to automatically detect which Flex LED mat is connected to customize available controls and specify the exact voltage needed to operate the light.

The Flex Cine Dimmer offers intuitive on-board controls for adjusting light intensity and color temperature on bi-color mats. This compact LED dimmer has a heavy-duty, yet lightweight aluminum enclosure for secure use and travel. It can be mounted to a stand with its built-in 1/4"-20 thread or hung with the removable d-ring shoulder strap.

Durable Scrim Jim Cine frame tubes are constructed of anodized aluminum and feature riveted heavy-duty hook tape on two sides for attaching a Flex mat to a variety of Flex Cine modifiers. Each frame tube includes a built-in 3/8"-16 thread, allowing streamlined mounting to a Flex Yoke, or your preferred stand or arm.

The Flex Yoke mounts directly to a Scrim Jim Cine frame's 3/8"-16 threads and features all-metal construction with heavy-duty hardware for ensuring longevity and ease of use on set and on location. The yoke also offers a 5/8" baby pin that can be mounted into a grip head with ease.
