Hi,

I am trying to power a SICK LMS100 Laser on my P3DX and wanted to use the power from the base. After reading the document and the page below

I checked the terminal voltages with the multimeter. Instead of 12 v and 5v the readings show that the pins supply 18v and 7v to my surprise.

Is it correct. I just want to confirm. Many thanks

Alex

Hi Alex

I have the same problem.
Do you have any progress since 2017?

Can you send me the document Connecting_Devices_to_the_Pioneer_3_Motor-Power_Board ?  The original link is broken...

Best regards

Helio

All old mobilerobots.com sites seem to be down but they were archived at www.archive.org before the business closed, so you can get copies there.  Some power outputs are voltage regulated but some are not, particularly 12v direct battery power (and any which have been converted to nominal 5v but without stricter regulation).  I don't remember all the details but that would explain the discrepancy especially when connected to a charger.  18v seems a bit high, but it may depend on what kind of charger is connected (and at what charge mode/cycle it is in).
