hi all,
I have created a ROS driver for the CH Robotics UM7 Orientation Sensor (IMU). It is derived from Mike Purvis’s UM6 driver. I think it comes closer than some of the drivers out there to meeting the intent of REP-103; i.e. mostly transforms. You can see some discussion of the subject at http://answers.ros.org/question/200480/imu-message-definition.
My source code is available at https://github.com/rbirac/ros-drivers-um7 and a draft wiki page at wiki.ros.org/um7. I don’t consider it quite ready to release, but as far as I know ;-) everything is working
If anyone has a um7, I’d certainly appreciate it if you could see how it works for you. Please let me know if you will be checking it out.
