Dear Patrick,

I would like to know how can one plot several parameters like odometry, tf , cmd_vel, gyro response on ros? I read that rxgraph is old and is replaced by rqt plugin. Can you give some examples on how can I plot using rqt?

Also, I would like to register all the topics while saving the bag file, and not just pose and tf, as I am also using image stream from kinect and point cloud data while mapping. How to record all the topics on the bag file using the rosbag command.

Thanks

Kind Regards
Ankit

Hi Ankit,

You can still use the rx tools as they should work fine under Groovy.  However, to learn how to use the new rqt equivalents, check out these examples on the ROS Wiki:

rqt_graph: http://ros.org/wiki/ROS/Tutorials/UnderstandingTopics#Using_rqt_graph

rqt_plot: http://ros.org/wiki/ROS/Tutorials/UnderstandingTopics#Using_rqt_plot

As for bag files, it looks to me like rqt_bag still has some work to be done.  So I would consider sticking to rosbag for now.  You can find rosbag tutorials at:
