differences or similarities between arbotix package and ros_control package

In rbx2, it does not mention the ros_control, instead it seems using arbotix package do the work of ros_control.

I am not sure whether my understanding is correct or not.

I wonder which part of system architecture does arbotix driver belongs to?

Could u elaborate the differences or similarities between arbotix package and ros_control package ?
