to start Ruby

Hey everyone,

My company is looking to hire a new developer.  It's entry-level, and
the applicant doesn't need to necessarily already know Ruby.  Feel
free to share it with friends/colleagues who are looking to get into
Ruby.  Here's the description:

Are you interested in using technology to make the world a better
place?  Annkissam is a small, growing organization that provides
operational and technology consulting to mission driven organizations
across the country.  We work mostly with non-profits; we believe in
doing good work for good organizations.  We spend up to 10% of our
work week volunteering, and try to be as involved as possible with the
communities that we work with.

We have an open entry-level full-time position for a software
developer who will join our engineering team.  As a new hire, you will
use RSpec, Capybara, Git, Capistrano, jQuery, and the newest versions
of Rails to develop systems to improve our clients' operational
efficiency.  You will be working on projects that make use of advanced
features of Rails to build a complex modular architecture.

Experience with any of the above, including Ruby and Rails, is not
required.  We will be happy to train you.  However, applicants should
have a strong background in computer science and proficiency in at
least one programming language.  Experience with relational databases
is a bonus.  In addition, you will have the opportunity to be involved
in the decision-making of the organization, including which markets to
pursue, what direction we'll take our technology, and how we run our
internal operations.  This is an opportunity to get into Rails, to
solve unique technical problems, and also to take on a significant
role in the development of a healthy, growing organization.

The ideal candidate will be:
-A creative, independently thinking, quick learner
-Someone who approaches life with curiosity
-An individual who is passionate about using technology to help people
-An honest, kind person who wants to provide a quality service
-Someone who is comfortable working autonomously

We require:
-An entrepreneurial mindset
-Excellent programming and analytical skills

If you are interested in this opportunity, please contact us with a
cover letter and resume at care...@annkissam.com.  Thanks!

Annkissam is an equal opportunity employer and does not not
discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because
of race, color, creed, religion, sex, national origin, age, marital
status, veteran status, sexual preference or disability.

Hi. Is this position still available? Do you accept work from home? I'm currently based in the Philippines. Thanks.
