Dear all,

I would like to start here a discussion about the management console.  We need to take technology decision asap on that point, do we continue on the extjs direction or do we start another one from scratch (knowing that backend API are now much more solid than before, I have not said documented but solid :-) ).
So any proposition for the next generation techno to use ? and the approach to select one?

Thanks !

Sabri.

I think it's worth taking some time to investigate alternatives, such as Twitter Bootstrap for the UI and backbone.js for communicating with the web-api.

Before having investigated though, it's kind of hard to tell.

Btw, roq-backend is now much more documented than before. Still work to be done, but we're getting there :).

Agreed. ExtJS looked promising, but documentation is rarely up to date, sometimes contradictory from page to page and some bugs are a real pain to work through.

All in all, while it was easy to have a first screen prototype with ExtJS, linking it to the backbone did not leave up to my expectations.

That being said, I have no strong contenders to propose at the moment. Jehan's propositions seems nice.

Quentin.
