Whatare CBF files?
CBF files are descriptors, which Vediamo Ecoute uses to interface with a specific control module from the car. These files describe the parts of the memory the control unit has, and translates each pointed memory, and each valid memory values, to be human readable.
By having these translations, the user knows in which part of memory, what value is valid, in order to operate specific settings.
In Vediamo, you can see the current value assigned to a specific memory location, and the possible other values you can assign.
What happens if I use an incompatible CBF file?
Short answer: nothing.
Vediamo Ecoute will just not be able to translate the setting values and memory positions and interface them to you.
You see, apart from some control units being available to specific cars, these control units also have software versions on them.
You may attempt to use a CBF file descriptor, with an older version, on a control unit, which has a more up-to-date software, but it will not work.
The CBF file is backwards compatible, meaning that it will be able to interface with all the previous software versions, up to that point, but will not be able to interface on a control module with newer software.
To connect to control units Ecoute relies on descriptor files (vsb or cbf) these files contain the necessary information to interface with a control module and execute defined functions and routines. These files are separate from the Vediamo installation and are control unit specific, however the same descriptor file covers all the versions of a control unit up to when that descriptor file was created. Selection of an incorrect file will not harm the vehicle but you will not be able to connect.
Flashing is done with cff files, these files contain the actual programming of a specific control unit in a specific version. Naturally extreme care should be taken when flashing as the use of an incompatible file or interruption in power can brick the control unit and this can be irreversible.
Alright, if you are looking for xentry software, search on
diagobd2.de it has been updated to the latest version i.e Xentry DAS V2021.3, and for any question, the engineer will assist with teamviewer.
Found on the Internet the Vediamo v04.02.02. and Vediamo Data files (password for archives 123). It is in this version of Vediamo that Part J is supported, i.e. the ability to connect PassThru devices.
This illustration show you guide on how to install Mercedes Benz Vediamo software.Vediamo is based on the Mercedes-Benz DCDI standard communication platform CAESAR and hence supports all communication hardware such as, e.g., Part C, Part A, Part Y, etc. DIOGENES data, used by all diagnostics applications in the company and which can be drawn from the central TAMINO data base, can be used as diagnostics data.
The diagnostic hardware and if necessary the drivers, have to be installed separately either before or after installing Vediamo. The appropriate entries have to be made in the Vediamo.ini settings file after installation to allow the hardware to function with Vediamo.
Dependent on the client-server architecture, no two Vediamo versions can be installed at the same time. If an earlier version is installed, it must be uninstalled first before the new version can be installed. However, a copy of the settings( Vediamo.ini) as well as files generated by the user (system files BSB, measurement and controller groups, etc.) are not deleted.
If a new version is installed in a directory an earlier Vediamo version was installed, the Vediamo.ini settings file found there is taken over so that the new Vediamo generally works exactly like the old one.
During installation, setup checks whether *.ini or *_ini.old settings files are in the specified path. If this is the case, all settings which are still valid for the new version are taken over and only new ones are entered. All setting can be modified subsequently using the INI-Editor.
The default paths for diagnostic data and for short test data can be overridden by optional INI files. These files must be stored separately for CAESAR and MVCI usage and they can contain the following items:
Let's start from the beginning.
I'm trying to create a Tool that helps my team in different reports.
First of all, I've created an UserForm where they can select the type of report they need (in this case --> Condizione di Pericolo / Mancato Infortunio / Infortunio), and this selection is stored in the variable evento.
After that, i want the file to create and save a copy of the report in a different Folder based on the report selected: in my SharePoint I have 3 different folders for Condizione di Pericolo / Mancato Infortunio / Infortunio.
Since the name of the file is standard and based on the date of the day I save it and on the name of the users, I know that there is the possibility that someone make the same report twice or more in the same day, and I don't want anything to be overwritten, that's why I'm trying to get a code for check if in the correct folder there is a file with the same name. If there is, I want the new one to add an suffix like (1) (just like when we made a copy of a file).
As told before, I can tell for sure that the slesh / are not a problem for the SaveAs-command, 'cause I use them in a lot of other files.Right now, I have the problem with the Dir command, and specifically I have this error: Run-time error '52': Bad file name or number.
Unfortunatelly I can't understand the problem, so I really need your help!
As far as I see, the problem you have is related to that you are working on Windows but uses the slash (/) instead of the backslash (\) as path separator. The Dir command will work with both, but the SaveAs-command fails.
Free download the latest Mercedes Vediamo softwareVediamo 5.00.05to use it offline for Mercedes car program, setting code, change the SA Code function... all can be done is similar to Xentry/DAS but can do far more detailed variant coding.
Vediamo - the advanced diagnostic application for engines- is a software system for electronic control unit (ECU) diagnostics which is integrated in the CAESAR/DIOGENES process chain. It allows diagnostics on any ECU over K-line as well as CAN, and encompasses all established protocols from RTMD+, MBISO, KWFB, KW2000 to UDS. Despite its name, Vediamo is no longer limited only to engine ECUs.
Vediamo V05.00.05 vs. Vediamo V4.002
The V4.00 version that used COMPACT 3 while SDconnect C4 does not support the ODX file. The latest V5.00.05 SD Connect supports ODX file and SD connects speed is relatively stable.
Mercedes vediamo i"s similar in purpose to Xentry but can do far more detailed variant coding, without the need to have an online connection to Daimler AG servers for authorization. In Xentry, variant coding is restricted, and even then once authorization is granted, the coding options are limited in comparison to Vediamo.
Spend some time looking around on the internet for a download link for it, you"ll also need to have it activated with your hardware ID, etc.

Despite the inference drawn from its name, artificial intelligence (AI) is based on very real data. In fact, data is fundamental to AI training. Typically, an engineer feeds an AI model with data to train it to perform tasks. As you might imagine, data accuracy is essential for successful AI training, which generally requires a large volume of data. In this regard, simulation offers significant support, including predictive accuracy, a large capacity for data, near-limitless analysis capabilities, and speedy results.
SPDM enables teams to manage simulation, data, workflows, and resources throughout their organization, spanning various departments and engineering disciplines, from one central database. With an SPDM solution such as Minerva, companies can create a digital thread throughout all stages of the product life cycle, increasing productivity, design success, and collaboration.
Essentially, SimAI is engaged in three simple steps: upload data, train AI model, and predict. As mentioned, customers can train the AI using previously generated Ansys or non-Ansys data. This gives SPDM users a generous advantage because their data is already compiled, sorted, and accessible in a few clicks.
In SimAI, you can now configure a model using your data and initiate AI training. You can even assess the quality of your data by using an existing SimAI model to evaluate the performance of geometry within your computer-aided design (CAD) files, then automatically download the results into Minerva.
Other advantages are that Minerva supports cloud deployment and offers native interoperability with all popular CAD and computer-aided engineering (CAE) tools, as well as product life cycle management (PLM) systems. It also integrates easily with other Ansys Connect family products, including Ansys Granta MI Enterprise materials management, Ansys optiSLang process integration and design optimization, and Ansys ModelCenter model-based systems engineering (MBSE) software. This means that your Minerva data is likely chock-full of insights from a variety of Ansys and non-Ansys solutions, ready to provide comprehensive training to your AI model. In addition, a multiphysics simulation workflow works seamlessly with SimAI, a physics-neutral application. As a result, customers can leverage Minerva and SimAI across all engineering disciplines, simulation products, and industry segments.
