Hello, All:

The San Jos Peace & Justice Center appears to be available the
first and third Thursdays of most months. It's only available the first
Thursday of November and December; the third Thursdays of those two
months is taken by the Green Party, which normally meets on the fourth
Thursday.

If the first and third Thursdays are open for everyone, I suggest
we ask for those times.

We could also have most Sundays at almost any time. Or possibly
most Saturdays, though that's less certain. Other times without regular
meetings appear to be the second and third Mondays, the first and fourth
Tuesdays, and the second Thursdays. They do not currently have regular
events scheduled for Fridays, so that might also be available. However,
they often show movies on Fridays.

I don't think the Peace Center has firm policies on contributions
required from their "Community Partners", but they ask for something
like $100 or $120 per month to meet there once (or maybe twice) per
month and be listed as one of their "Community Partners".

What do you think about asking for approval to there the first
Thursdays as Dream Menders and the third Thursdays as Common Cause
(starting next year for the third Thursdays)? I'd be shocked if they
did not approve that instantly (for a total of at most $240 per year).

Best Wishes,
Spencer

If the cost is $100 per month, that could end up being $10 per person which is a lot more than I currently pay for some tea.

I'm also little concerned about what we will do if Spencer can't make it for some reason or if Spencer is late for some reason.

Best,
Georgia

CORRECTION:  $100 or $120 per YEAR.  If we have 8 regulars, that's $1.50 each per month.

I'm also little concerned about what we will do if Spencer can't make it for some reason or if Spencer is late for some reason.

CORRECT:  We'd need to ask them to provide keys to another regular member of our group.

      Thanks, Georgia.
