I am having the same issue. I am trying to export this file as a psd so that I can make a frame animation out of it in photoshop. I have done it plenty of times before and have never had the "this file cannot be saved as a photoshop file" error pop up. Both Ai and Ps are up to date.
Hello, im having the same issue as well. im trying to export this file as a psd, but i keep getting an error dialog box "photoshop file could not be saved" would u like to check my file, please :3. Here is the packaged file =sharing
this error message has randomly started happening since i updated illustrator. I have done a clean windows install and it still happens. All I am doing is trying to export designs at 300dpi as a png. I cannot export anything now. And as a work around I have to copy the designs to photoshop and export using that. However I don't like this option as the file is not a vector anymore. I have searched the internet everywhere and can't find anyone with this issue. Please HELP
Hi, I had illustrator running yesterday and today after I installed some fonts, I am not not able to open illustrator or photoshop. Tried uninstalling creative cloud, photoshop and illustrator and reinstall again. Still not working. Getting an error ''msvcp140.dll missing'' Driving me crazy. Anybody can help on this?
Hello, I'm currently using Illustrator CS4 and just updated my Mac to OS X Yosemite. After installing the new software, I've got some bugs with Illustrator. Namely, upon opening the program, I get the message "Error loading plugins". The plugin in question is "photoshopimport.aip". I'm not sure if this is related to the next issue - I'm no longer able to open .tif files in Illustrator and says that they are "an unknown format and cannot be opened". I have uninstalled and re-installed all Adobe programs, but I still get the same error messages.
Hi! what worked for me right now was combining 2 of the suggestions above: first opened photoshop, second opened the .pdf file created with ilustrator. The error messaged was able to click OK and i opned it!
Yes! I have the same error message popping up immediately after updating to yosemite on my apple laptop. So frustrating that I can no longer open photoshop files in illustrator. Part of the greatness of these programs is that you are able to use them together! This dramatically impacts my daily use of these programs.
My photoshop and Illustrator are upto date. However when i click on the smart object thumbnail in photoshop the object does'nt open in illustrator. this is the pop up i get when i try to open smart object.
I am getting this exact same error when trying to edit a vector smart object. I get the exact same error shown above. Tried removing/reinstalling illustrator. Still does the same thing. Not specific to one file. Has anyone solved this? I need to be able to work!
After the last Monterey update, using Photoshop if I try to edit (by clicking twice on it) an illustrator file (or any other program) instead of opening the program, I get this error in a system window and not in photoshop:
opening my ai file in photoshop 7 and rasterize it really works
fine for all resolutions (up to 600dpi)! nevertheless i can't
understand why illustrator has this kind of pixel limitation ...
is it a bug !?k4simir
Does anyone else have an issue when saving directly from Photoshop 2022? No matter what file, I select a folder to save through photoshop onto Box Drive. The file confirms and the loading/sync wheel appears. Almost immediately after, the file gives an error icon that reads "This File Doesn't Exist".
