What’s with the click-bait title? Joe Biden didn’t call for anything, the White House Office of the National Cyber Director (ONCD) did.

Problems related to insecure software constitute a national security issue. Whether or not developers should move away from C and C++ is debatable, but hardly a new—or absurd—topic.

Perhaps you’d prefer the ONCD focus on whether or not immigrants are eating pets?
