I haven't seen a post on this list yet, so just spreading the word that the 2019 Family History Technology Workshop is on 26 February 2019 at Brigham Young University (Provo, Utah, USA). It is the day before RootsTech begins, so if you are coming to Utah for RootsTech, just come a day early for FHTW.

Unlike RootsTech (a huge conference with end-users as the primary audience), FHTW is a smaller venue specifically intended for developers and researchers creating and using emerging technologies for family history, so it is a good fit for many of us on this list. There is typically a good mix of developer talks, lightning talks, and research talks.

General information about the workshop is available at fhtw.byu.edu . If you are interested in presenting, submissions are due 21 January and the call for papers is at https://fhtw.byu.edu/call-for-papers
