Good morning Roots,
May this email find you well.
I am sure you are busy but enjoying the summer as well.
Maybe you are doing this already, but my suggestion for continuing to nourish your spirituality, strengthening your prayer life, and deepening your group/community relationship,
would be to use media such as Formed, Focus on the Family/Marriage podcasts, bishop Barron weekly podcast, and James Martin newest book Learning to Pray, or any spirituality book, in your meetings.
Formed is a free Catholic platform filled with rich content of movies and audio. You can use my parish Holy Spirit Catholic Church code: KNHQW4. There is other way to access it if you have issue with signing up.
Focus on the Family or Marriage podcasts are inspiring and practical. I wish I had knew about this when I just got married. https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/focus-on-the-family-broadcast/id290803395
Bishop Barron’s weekly podcast talk about the scripture passage for the Sunday.
And lastly, Fr Martin’s book just came out at the beginning of this year and we all can learn more about how we can pray more effectively. I have not read it yet but I listened to the podcast about it.
You can use these sources to zoom in on topics for the meetings and come up with a couple suggestive questions to facilitate accountability and sharing.
You help me to deepen my faith and live out the Catholic life as well. Therefore, I am happy to be a prayer companion by attending your meeting once in a while, through Zoom or in person. Just include me in the email for the week about what movie or podcast one wants the group to watch or listen to.
