Bluetooth distribution

Hi there,

I am trying to work out how I can DIY a bluetooth device to emit
photos or movies automatically, to those within a certain distance.

This is currently done at some London venues. Can it be done using a
laptop? I am MAC based, but could get hold of a PC.

Hi Caroline,

Yes it can be done using a laptop, either mac or pc, as long as it has
a bluetooth chip or dongle. The roomware server itself does not
currently support this though, it's still on our wishlist for future
modules. The Bluetooth library we use (BlueCove) does support it
though so it should not be too difficult to write a Roomware module
that would add this functionality or interface with the BlueCove java
library directly.

Either way you will have to write some code to achieve this or get
someone else to code it for you. Or you could wait until we implement
that module ourselves but there is no timeframe on that yet i'm afraid.
