Hi People!

Hope you're still having fun with building nice installations with (or
without) RoomWare. Probably most people will have fun without RoomWare
since there hasn't been much activity...

Some short sentences about the last 2 years:
I've been an active developer on the RWP (RoomWare Project). We made
some serious progress: mysql support, RFID support for 2-types of
readers, simulator, etc... An active deployment city was Utrecht. We
won a golden SpinAward for the Hyves installation. And finally I got
100% involved in my own company and having no time left for RWP. After
that I scanned the emails but no real activity. I now sensed some
activity at the side of Peter. I don't want to mention a lot of names
so I quit by saying: Alchemyst!

An update about me.
Still pretty busy with my startup. But now doing some review on my to
do list and there is some pending work for RWP. Looking forward to
getting started again (even though time is still a fun killer).
Actually I'm so convinced about my reactivation for RWP that I'm
writing this email to the group.

What's up for the future?
My first step will be to dig up my email from October 2008 and
continue on building a new All-In-One installer with all the available
code (including stuff left on some of my machines). Hopefully I can
mentor someone with expanding the Bluetooth Module to send and receive
messages.

I'm not sure what people have done with RWP last year, so if you've:
- made a nice installation;
- tried something with RWP but failed;
- or had great ideas for RWP;
I would be pleased to read about it.

It's almost summer so have fun; I'll be having fun on the computer and
with RWP!

Looking forward for some reactions, Tom

Good news Tom, and welcome back i guess :)

Well Alchemyst has done a few more projects this year of course and i know there have been a few cool projects done by Wilbert Baan in Rotterdam. Would indeed be good to hear who started something but failed as well...

Like most of you probably know by now James and myself have been investing most of our time into our art guide NARB http://narb.me and Robert is super busy with Wakoopa still so we haven't been able to setup a lot of workshops as of late...

So i'm thinking this might be a good time to setup a Roomware workshop sometime soon.... These are the summer months so not everybody might be here but if we can get some people together again to discuss some of your points it should be fun even with a smaller crowd.

I would love to see:

 * some presentations of projects from the past few months
 * some hands on workshops
 * some brainstorm sessions

Barcamp style as always... NARB could sponsor and maybe even provide a location, although i'd love to hear from other people with cool spaces to share... What do you guys think? Plan something end of july? Maybe wait until September....?
