2 questions. 1. Can the api pull only certain properties? In other words, if i want to display only a selection of properties based on a certain style, can i choose them one by one to display with the api? 2. Is there a commission for properties rented through the api (with cookie tracking or some other method)? thanks

Hi Stephane,

Can you give me a more concrete example of the criteria you would want to use to select your properties? You can run the search API based on a large number of conditions (destination, type of accommodation, number of rooms, number of guests, amenities, conditions, price, availability), and you can even restrict your search to a specific number of property identifiers (the ids parameter). Is that what you're looking for?

For the commission tracking, as booking directly is not currently supported through the API (payment has to happen on the website), we recommend that you add the ref parameter with your account login to all links to the roomorama website that you generate. This will enable us to correctly track and credit you for commissions generated. (eg. https://roomorama.com/rooms/232532?ref=myuseraccount), which will set up cookie-based tracking.

We are currently working on a way to offer better API functionality to our affiliate partners for commission generation, which will include in-api booking as well as more options for referral and commission generation.

Yes, that answer my question. Thank you. Restricting to specific id parameters will let me choose pretty precisely which properties we want displayed. Also, looking forward to seeing in-api booking - will be a nice feature so that we dont direct users off our site. If you know a reasonably priced programmer who deals with your api, i'd be interested- Thanks
