The Museum runs a successful retail operation, which generates an annual
income of over £3.5 million. The Museum has shops at all the sites and
also offers a Mail Order Service. In addition to retailing, the
Department of Retail & Admissions is responsible for the busy
admissions, which is the first point of contact that visitors have with
The Museum.

The shops sell a wide range of books, posters, postcards, videos, audio
cassettes, and gifts, which range from pocket money products to
expensive collectors# items. Merchandise and publications are
wide-ranging, covering themes from military history to wartime food.

We currently have a temporary part time vacancy in our busy museum shop
at Imperial War Museum London. To join our successful and friendly team
you will need to have experience of working in retail or a similar
environment, good visual merchandising skills, a strong commitment to
customer care, good communication skills, and an interest in twentieth
century history.
