Hi everyone,
It has been a few months since our last Austin chapter event and our upcoming event is the biggest we have thrown yet! The theme is Indian Nights and all money raised will benefit Room to Read's programs in India. Please check out our facebook (

http://www.evite.com/app/publicUrl/OAJMHCJJSMSQSLGGKSRV/IndianNights) invites and pass this on to anyone you think may be interested.
More details:
What: Indian Nights, Benefiting Room to Read - India and the Room to Dream campaign

Where: Clay Pit, 1601 Guadalupe St, Austin, TX
Cost: $40 per person. Includes a donation, entertainment, and food.

The night will start off with Indian folk music by renowned Austin-based musician Oliver Rajamani and a performance by Austin Dance India. To keep up your strength for a long night of fun there will be a hands-on grilling station for kabobs, various contemporary Indian appetizers and desserts, and a cash bar featuring event-themed cocktails. The entry fee of $40 covers your appetizers, entertainment, and a generous donation to Room to Read’s programs in India. (75% of the cash bar will also benefit Room to Read so come hungry and thirsty!) We are also excited about the many silent auction items that will be available including an original print of Ray Charles by a local artist, a massage gift certificate, original artwork from Nepal, and a football signed by Hall of Fame players.
As we have limited space, tickets must be purchased in advance at

Room to Read is impacting lives! With over 3.1 million children accessing over 760 schools, 7000 bilingual libraries, 327 new local language children's titles, 132 computer labs, and 6817 girls in our long-term scholarship program — we are providing opportunities that change children’s lives and communities throughout the developing world. With your help, we can reach our goal of an additional 5000 libraries to impact more than 5 million children by 2010.
