Coming this week……

Ahh!! It seems like time keeps flying by and I can’t get everything done in a day!! Things are crazy, but we are having lots of fun!!

First of all,

Thank you all so much for all the kindness that I was shown last week. I truly felt appreciated!! My little man for the garden looks so cute in my newly planted garden. This is the first year I have tried planting my own garden so we shall see how it works out. Now, every time I water it I am reminded of all the kindness I have been shown here at Chadbourne. My poems, fruit, and flowers were all wonderful. I truly enjoyed my sushi lunch. My gift cards will come in quite handy as I am trying to save money for my upcoming wedding. Everyday it seems I am overwhelmed by the kindness you all show me. I will miss working here next year more than you all know. For those of you who did not know, I was hired on a temporary contract this last year and due to a lower enrollment for next year, I have been told there will not be a space for me here again (at least for next year). I am hopeful that some day my journey will allow me to come back to Chadbourne for a more permanent position.

This week we will be getting ready for our Open House, which will be next Tuesday evening.

I sent home a little man and a poster. It was not until I told the kids about the homework on Monday that I realized that I grabbed the wrong packet at the store. So, even though the poster looks like it should be about someone else, I want them to complete it on themselves. They should have a picture of themselves, a written story about their lives (it can be typed), for the mini-movie part I want them to do a picture story about their lives, for a quotable quote they can put a quote they like or they can make up their own quote, Life lesson should be a lesson they have learned in life, Five words should be adjectives they can use to describe themselves, a final fact can be an interesting fact about their own lives, and super resources should be books, movies, TV shows or games they like.

This week we also did our district writing assessment. Woohoo!! One more thing done.

We will continue working with unit 11 in Math.

We are learning about land forms, life cycles, water cycle, writing descriptive paragraphs, fractions, graphing, and more.

Hi Ms. Herbert,

Thank you! I have struggle for many of Brandon's school years with
teachers. This year, I feel for the first time that we finally got a
teacher that gives Brandon the individualize care that he deserves. I
thank you from the bottom of my heart! I will never forget the extra
time and effort you have given to our family.
