Hello -

Ossie is following up with Sharon Damon.  He confirmed that a meeting by Council staff to decide the way forward was held last week, and that we can expect written feedback from that meeting.

I am expecting a call from David Viljoen, and I will ask him among other items to get this feedback to me today.

Cape Nature Conservation is visiting the quarry tomorrow to take an assessment (evidence from CNC will be useful in a court case).

More when I have it.

So we should certainly not do anything to the road until CapeNature has had a look. In fact, a car stuck in the hole might help our case. Any volunteers?

Darn!  I just came back to work, could have stayed stuck if I got this mail before!!

 

Seriously, went home quickly for something earlier on, 8 trucks in total in and out........stopped one of the drivers......said he was from PC Quarry heading onto collect clay for brickfields........gave him what for, poor man...and whilst giving him some formal verbal abuse, showing him my little car and pointing to his big truck, along came another, then another so I managed to hold 3 up for about 15 minutes with simple chat. :-), he really did not care.

 

Then drove on and over the hill....just before the same spot as the crater last month..................huge wobbly... so beware those of you coming out today.........you cannot see it until you are on top of it.
