David C-F is re-building parts of the upper road

Hello -

David Clarke-Fisher called me earlier today to advise that from next week sections of the road between his gate and where it joins Rondeberg Road proper will be under reconstruction.  The way he described it is that he will cordon off half the road, in stretches, lay in drainage pipes, and raise the level of the road by quite a bit - he said as much as a metre in places.

The object of this work is to improve the drainage of the road, and greatly to improve the road material.

He asked me to ask everyone to be extra careful during the construction, to drive slowly, and to be aware that temporarily there will be stretches of the road where only one car may pass.  This will require us all to be patient, and to let oncoming traffic pass first.

Perfect thanks .As I said last night should there be any gravel/ tar mix left over you would be welcome to use it further down on your road. I could dump it for you at varies section and you would need only manual labour to lay the stone on the road.
