Although it was the day of her father's funeral, Julie Wilson waits impatiently to keep an appointment with a prospective buyer of her inherited 1000 acres in Dot, North Carolina. Something about Cliff Baker, who wanders into the long-closed store asking to use the facilities, causes her heart to beat faster and awakens long suppressed emotions. Disgusted with the paltry sum offered by the town's richest resident, Julie decides to put the estate in the hands of a realtor. While driving to the cemetery to visit her dad's grave one final time before the sun sets, Julie listens with both embarrassment and intrigue to the interactive radio program, Bawdy Talk.
