Since the founding of Embaixada Cigana do Brasil in 2009, our members have worked on several projects in the local community with the intention of minimizing the attitudes of prejudice and discrimination arising, largely, by the fact the majority society ignore our culture and our ethnicity . And one of the successful projects in this direction has been the Romani Rota (in which, we conducted a lecture about our values and presentation of our songs and dances). This project will also bring knowledge, culture and entertainment is free, and has achieved its main objective: the fight against prejudice and discrimination.

The members of the Embaixada Cigana and the groups of the Roma Brazilian thanks the dear President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva for their courage to be responsible for the institution of the decree of May 25, 2006: "Only those who know the winter of our pain, they do the sun shines, Lula, we wish that you accept our grateful.
