A question (complex tables)

Heya,

I've been using rollon for some RPG campaign creation and I've hit a
stumbling block. I have a couple tables that look like this:

<<rollon [[Room Table]]>>

Room Table
* A 20x20 room blah blah. Occupied by <<rollon [[Occupant Table]]>>

Occupant Table
* A [[Pack of Trolls]]
* A [[Nasty Snake]]
* A [[Goblin Stalker|Stats: Goblin Stalker]]
* Well you get the idea.

My problem is those links get expanded out to a mess of linkage rather
than usable links, for example:

Any thoughts on how to get this to work?

Hi Mark, glad to hear that you're getting some use out of Rollon!

I have to investigate further, and maybe ask on the Dev list but that
looks like it may be a bug in tiddlywiki and the way it handles
wikilinks. If you surround the square brackets with <nowiki> </
nowiki> tags, then the links show up normally the way you would
expect, and you can click on them and everything. But if you try to
edit the result tiddler, even edit and cancel...it changes to that <a
tiddlylink blah blah blah guff that you see. That's what makes me
think this may be a tiddlywiki bug, since by that point it's entirely
out of the macro's hands what gets displayed.

I'll dig into this some more, and like I said I may end up asking on
the Dev mailing list what they think is going on. In the meantime if
you don't mind that you can't edit the result, you can try the nowiki
trick.

Joshua -- thanks for the response. I was thinking this was some sort
of weird tiddlywiki issue based on the results I was seeing. Come to
think of it, I probably should upgrade my version of tiddlywiki to the
latest since it's probably pretty old.

Rollon is quite useful. I use it all the time for campaign wikis.
