Hello Steve,

I'm attaching two photos.
One is Caroline Thayer Sloan (dau. of Burwell Rollins).
She's in Jonesboro as you know.

Caroline and Alvin Johnson Sloan had two daughters.
One daughter was Minnie Davis Sloan.
Minnie married Thomas B. Kernaghan.
She's buried in Batesburg SC.
The other photo is of her.  The lighting isn't the best,
but I couldn't move the sun.

Minnie and Thomas had one daughter.  Lois Kernaghan
married John Fleming Marsh.  She's my grand mother
and only about 15 miles away, so I should have a photo,
but can't find one.  I'll take one tomorrow.  This should
keep you busy for now.

Regards,
Tom

Hi Tom,

Thanks so much for these, sure do appreciate it.  I uploaded my Caroline and AJ Sloan headstone photos yesterday to www.johnrollinsfamily.org, feel free to take a look and see if the lighting/legibility is better for you.  Sure do appreciate the Kernaghan photo, will upload that one this weekend.  Thank you!  Look forward to the other when you get around to it.

Hope you have a successful research foray next month, sorry I'll miss you in NC.  Hopefully another time.  Take care, thanks again, and stay in touch!

Steve

Hello Steve,

Attached you will find a photo of Lois Kernaghan Marsh.
Lois was the only child of Minnie Davis (Sloan) Kernaghan
and Thomas B. Kernaghan.  Lois was born in Batesburg SC
in 1899 and died 1981.  She lived in West Palm Beach, Fl.
for the past 12 years or so prior to her death.

Lois was the grand-daughter of Caroline Thayer (Rollins) Sloan.

I'll be up in NC perhaps on the 13th of April.  Hope to find the
Rollins cemetery.

Regards,
Tom
