What can cause a car to stall during idling?

My Land Rover Discovery 1997 is having stalling fits. Whenever I let off the accelerator the revs come rights down and it stalls. It happens usually in cold weather but not always. It happens kind of randomly. Fuel injectors? The air/fuel mixture is running too lean? Does it have a MAP sensor on it?

First, does it have any codes? Don't trust the CEL. The light may not work. If you don't have a code scanner, get it scanned at an auto store, or contact me and I'll scan it.
