Hi All,
Just a quip for Makers & Hackers Night at the Medford library. It's just 8 days away. First Thursday evening of the month, 6:30pm-9:30pm at the Medford Library.
With that in mind, is anyone willing to sign up for a Lighting Talk? The Featured Lighting Talk will start at 7pm and can go up to a maximum of 20 minutes. After the first presenter, anyone else can go for a maximum of 5 minutes each (plus Q&A from the audience).
If you need to show something digitally, we can bring a projector. If it's hardware-related, physical demos are crowd-pleasers of course.
The WIFI is really weak in that community room we're in, but I've got a request in with the Library IT to hopefully get us a live network connection in there. As a temporary measure we can use phones for tethering which may be a tad more reliable than the WIFI.
It's pretty obvious from the last two meetups that we have teens and youngsters looking for inspiration as well. So let's bring some hands-on stuff they can get into. If you have any ideas, shoot them over.
Hope to hear from you soon.
Mica
