Just an FYI to those who may be interested, a small group of freelancers are having a lunch meeting on Wednesday at 1:00 pm @ Organic Natural Cafe (226 E. Main St.) across from Rogue Hack Lab to discuss the future of co-working in downtown Medford and the Rogue Valley.

Although we've had co-working activity at the Rogue Hack Lab, our current space is limited and doesn't functionally meet all the needs of co-workers, freelancers, and early startups.  For example, private rooms for client meetings or phone calls.  Additionally, hosting meetings with your clients at your local hackerspace might make them feel a little uncomfortable if they don't know what hackerspaces and makerspaces are all about.

If you're one of those folks thinking "I would love to escape the noise at home and have an office in downtown, but can't afford $500 to have my own private office" then this may be a unique opportunity for you join us and help create the co-working space that you never want to leave.

Under Discussion:
  • minimal requirements for a functional co-working facility that meets your needs
  • estimate sustained monthly revenue/sq. ft. we need to generate
  • membership structure / tiers
  • calculating startup costs
  • management structure
  • crowdfunding campaign
  • split off co-working as it's own branding or sub-branding
  • membership including access to small satellite space in Ashland
If you can't make this meeting, but you're highly interested, please let me know and we'll keep you in the loop.
