Dear Outdoor Education Colleagues:
Hi! I recently had an e-mail conversation with Jim Parry regarding a
nonprofit consulting agency that I founded that serves camps, youth-
serving nonprofits, and parks and recreation departments. Jim
mentioned that my message to him would be useful to the group on this
Google Group and he thought I should post the same information for you
all. I appreciate the opportunity to join this on-line group and
share the information about my organization.
Many of you don't know me, but I am quite involved with ACA and speak
at ACA conferences each year. Also, I simultaneously serve as a
professor in recreation management and youth leadership at Indiana
State University and administer the Recreation Development Network, a
nonprofit consulting and training organization. Our web site is:
http://www.recreationdevelopmentnetwork.com
The mission of the Recreation Development Network is to improve the
delivery of public, private, and nonprofit park, recreation, camp, and
youth services by providing consulting, training, and programs. We
even conduct training and consultation live on the internet via web
cams.
We have worked on a number of contract-based projects since 2003. A
brief outline of our past projects can be found at:
http://recreationdevelopmentnetwork.com/Past_Projects.html
We can provide a wide-variety of services through the Recreation
Development Network by always pulling in faculty and experienced
professionals from around the country.
Feel free to share this web site link with your colleagues and those
in and around the camp, youth, and outdoor education filed. We are
actively looking to secure contracts for the Summer 2008 training rush
in May and June 2008, as well as begin more long-term projects. Any
help in spreading the word about our available services would be much
appreciated! I believe we have a number of services that would be
very helpful for camps, parks and recreation departments/districts,
and youth-serving nonprofit organizations around the country.
If I can be of assistance or if you would like to discuss our services
for a project with your agency, please don't hesitate to contact me.
Sincerely,
Dr. Nathan A. Schaumleffel
