Be Inspired By Your Peers and the Tetons

You are invited to join leaders from around the country to share ideas
and brainstorm ways to address the challenges which lie ahead for
nature and place-based educators. This summit will focus on exploring
the methods used in creating educational programming, marketing of
these programs and ways to make fund raising more powerful. Most
importantly, participants will strategize new ways of thinking to
multiply the effects of future efforts times ten as inspired by best-
selling author Richard Louv in Last Child in the Woods: Saving Our
Children from Nature-Deficit Disorder.

Summit Topics and Audience

Topics to be covered during the sessions include most successful
current practices, ways to make idea sharing a more effective tool and
using the multiplier effect to support greater impact and reach.
Participants are encouraged to bring an open mind and willingness for
co-operation. Summit participants may include Executive Directors,
Program Directors and other educational leaders with an enthusiasm for
the continuation of this important initiative reconnecting more
children to nature. The goal is for each participant to leave the
conference with five new program offerings, three new fund raising
initiatives and two big ideas. Click here for the full schedule.

Campus Location and Facilities

Three nights lodging and facilities usage will be donated by Teton
Science Schools. The cost to participants is $100 to help cover the
cost of meals during the summit. Families are welcome and additional
nights lodging are available before and after the summit at $80/room
per night plus the cost of meals (Breakfast $7 / Lunch $8 / Dinner
$15). Teton Science Schools' Jackson Campus is located less than two
miles from the town of Jackson, Wyoming. The campus buildings are
concentrated on less than two percent of the nearly 900 acre campus
and are designed to utilize high performance building solutions while
preserving wildlife habitat and migration corridors. Optional field
trips will be available on Friday afternoon and Saturday morning.
