Greetings from warm and sunny Alabama (well sort of warm and cloudy)!
We are gearing up to welcome you all for the 2009 RELC (Residential
Environmental Learning Centers) Directors Gathering! The date has
been set for January, 21-25, 2009. Please put this on your
calendars. It will be at McDowell Environmental Center near the
Bankhead National Forest.



We are working on planning some awesome outings for y'all while you
are here in the South. Our January temperatures were in the 40s -60s
this year, so for those of you sick of snow about then, you'll love
us! We have amazing sandstone canyons with many waterfalls, creeks to
canoe, a huge wildlife refuge with over-wintering Sand Hill Cranes
among many other birds, caves to explore, and so much more!



I will be sending out more information soon. Please spread the word
to others who might enjoy this Gathering. We want to get the word out
to all who will be helped by being here.
