Jarrod here from Australia! How are you all going? All is well and hot
down here in Oz! Crazy weather though - monsoon thunderstorms all
summer - very odd for the alpine region of southern Australia.

Anyway to business at hand.

I am charged with the development of a new curriculum program at my
school, Bogong Outdoor Education centre. I am developing a pilot
program aimed at "Develop [ing] independence, self reliance and
confidence for lifelong learning".

The rough plan I have for meeting this desired aim is to design a pre,
during and post visit curriculum that really makes the iconic
experience of students short-lived experience with us here at the
outdoor school last and transfer to their everyday and future lives.

So my question to you is what are you guys at Woodleaf are doing in
this respect (regardless of the outcome you are seeking), can you tell
me about what you do or what you would like to do, and even put me
onto anyone else I should talk to. Any information on pre and post
contact you have with your students would be greatly valuable.

Also hoped you could post something on the ROEE site as well with my
reply email.

Have also sent this email to and in no particular order
- North Vancouver Outdoor School
- North Cascades Institute
- Islandwood
- Teton Science Schools
- Yosemite National Institutes
- Woodleaf
- Strathcona Park Lodge and Outdoor Education Centre
- Northern Edge Algonquin
- Aspen Centre for Environmental Studies
- Smoky Mountain Field School
- and the ROEE group.

Thanks for your time and the help I know you will give me,

Cheers
