team-work (tēm'wûrk') - n. A cooperative effort by the members of a
group or team to achieve a common goal.

With the goal of providing the most unique environmental education
program in North Carolina, YMCA Camp Harrison at Herring Ridge is
building a team of creative and enthusiastic environmental educators.
Enjoy the 1,438 acres of beautiful land set in the Brushy Mountains
while helping to shape and make real contributions to a growing
environmental education program that first opened its doors in 2004.

As an Environmental Education/Conference Instructor you will lead
ecology classes and facilitate program areas that include high/low
ropes courses, dual water zip-lines, kayaking, canoeing, creeking,
survival skills, hiking, and biking (training will be provided in all
program areas). Preference is given to those in pursuit, or with a
science, education or outdoor-related degree, as well as group
facilitation skills. Great projects for internships in related fields
of study are also available.

Benefits include a salary of $240/week, housing, most meals, use of
camp equipment, and a YMCA membership.

Opportunities are available this spring (from March 10th through May
20th) and the fall (mid-August through mid-November).
