However, when I install the AnyConnect client, after authenticating it hangs for a while during the self-update process, and stops with an error that the "AnyConnect package unavailable or corrupted."

I have a TAC case open to see if any good documentation exists for this, but I did get a basic installation up and running using SDM 2.5. Unfortunately SDM will NOT recognize that Anyconnect is installed even though it is. You will need to install the Anyconnect packages manually and then setup the rest in SDM.

It turns out the Error: Invalid Archive part was the key thing. The archives were corrupt. I'd been using TFTPD32 as a basic TFTP server to transfer the AnyConnect package files to the router; somewhere along the line they got corrupted.

Note: In the file anyconnect-linux64-4.6.01103, the numbers after the dash are the version number (e.g., 4.6.01103) and will change as ITS updates the AnyConnect software package.

The AnyConnect SSL VPN tunnel will have ISE as its authentication, authorization, and accounting server. Once the clients are connected to the VPN, they will be assigned an IP address from the DHCP scope 192.168.130.0/24 which is configured on our AD.

As you can see above, we selected the subnet 192.168.130.0/24 for both Original and Translated source and destination. This basically translated the subnet 192.168.130.0/24 to itself. This is called Identity NAT which is the same as NAT exemption.

These packages also arrive there. A package capture clearly shows me incoming connections from port 444 source 10.100.110.100, destination 10.100.110.99.
However, apparently no packages are going back to the PaloAlto from the MX.
There are no ACK packets, there is simply nothing, as if the MX discards the packets internally, but I can't change anything about it.

So DNAT is done on the Palo side for incoming traffic on TCP/444? By default, MX is listening for AnyConnect connections on TCP/443. Can you check which port is used on the MX (Server settings -> AnyConnect Port)?

Yes, SSL VPN requires a license to function with the Cisco ASA. This of course depends on if you purchase the license as part of a package or if you buy it as a standalone license for a device you already have. In each case, ordering information can be found at the following link:

Hu Guys, I want to disable the clientless VPN access in our ASA. I saw this configuration in ASA: webvpn enable outside enable inside anyconnect-essentials svc image disk0:/anyconnect-win-3.1.01065-k9.pkg 1 svc image...

I found the issues this morning. In the lesson it shows the type command being run from global config mode when it should have been run as part of webvpn configuration. Just a typo in the lesson which I should have caught yesterday. See lesson test below. Thank you for your response.

"There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A program run as part of the setup did not finish as expected. Contact your support personnel or package vendor." error message while installing the latest AnyConnect Client applications on user PCs.

When we deploy package through SCCM that time user connected on VPN and at that time existing VPN get uninstall & communication of that systems with SCCM get disconnected so that new version up-gradation is gets stuck till when it again communicate to SCCM. After communicating with SCCM then also it's not working.

MSI (s) (D0:78) [12:46:18:193]: Product: Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client -- Error 1722. There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A program run as part of the setup did not finish as expected. Contact your support personnel or package vendor. Action VACon64_ndis6_Install, location: c:\Program Files (x86)\Cisco\Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client\VACon64.exe, command: -install "c:\Program Files (x86)\Cisco\Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client\vpnva-6.inf" VPNVA

That is the next step.
There you can look at which exectutable the .desktop actually invoke.
It should be the Exec or TryExec line.
Then copy and paste such executable in the command line, and look if there are error messages (as @hhlp explained above).

From the terminal emulator, go inside the vpn directory under the anyconnect-4.x.xxxxx directory (where the folder was extracted in Step 9) and execute the installation script as root: # ./vpn_install.sh
