I am new here and was hoping someone could point me to the best background remover plugin. I am looking at something that can erase/restore areas around the image since the wizard really does not work well if the background is similar to the image color wanted saved.
I do not see a way you can outline the image wanted saved and blur out the unwanted background. Remove.bg works well but no way to purchase it outright. I dont want to pay as I use it.
No issue paying for a product that works well. This is by far the most lacking feature in Paint.net IMO as I have to spend hours manually outlining a complex image to prevent errors in the background removal.
Thanks in advance.

It uses an AI to detect your object and remove the background, saving you editing time and money. You can even add a colored background to match your store design and remove up to 15 backgrounds at one time.

The great thing about this app is it also has retouching tools that allow you to select your background with more detail. You can save your photo as a JPG file with a white background or use the preset background images to superimpose your photo.

Background Eraser is a free background remover app for Android. Fairly simple, it focuses entirely on helping you remove backgrounds from your photos. You can download Background Eraser in the Google Play app store.

Cutout.pro is an online background remover that automatically removes the backgrounds in your images and videos. It also allows you to superimpose your images and videos onto any background of your choice.

I ADORE Canva. But. When I finetune an image I use background remover on (the erase/restore functions), if I make a mistake and ctrl-z it, sometimes it just completely restores the background which could be heartbreaking. Am I doing something wrong?

Do you use a background remover for your photos? Is it worth the added time? Looked at PhotoRoom but always based on an app and using your phone. I DON'T WANT TO DO ALL MY WORK ON A TINY STUPID PHONE (so there!). I guess I am a throwback, but I just hate the ergonomics of doing many listings on a tiny phone vs my desktop with a true keyboard and large screen (OK, I vented).

I agree with you and use a desktop to list 100% of the time. I will answer messages, etc on my phone, but I don't see how you can get any real work done on the phone app. I don't use a background remover because all of my items are in my house and I take photos of them against a neutral background. TBH I don't even know what that is!

As for removing backgrounds, I do so mostly because the background of any of my photos is not something people really need to see (that 70s rug, arm of a coach, cat scratching post, etc. A decent plain background works fine for most uses - in your completeds I see two backgrounds that work great - the one for your vintage Mr Christmas lights is nice, same with the vintage Patagonia. For small objects, a light drop shadow is enhancing and gives more of a 3D feel (your Mr Christmas has that) - I lose that when I knock out backgrounds or if I paint it in, it doesn't really look natural. Frequently knocking out a background can render the item more 2D than one might like.

I don't use a background removal tool because (IMO) backgrounds and photographing style are part of a seller's "personality" and show my buyers (or lurkers) that I do my own work and that the pictures shown in the listing are the actual items the buyer will receive.

As a side fringe benefit, having a distinct background makes it easier to prove infringement when another seller "borrows" pictures. (I also don't allow my images to be used in ebay's catalog so they aren't free for the taking.

About how to remove background from picture, there are two ways usually: removing background of image with AI or manual effort. VanceAI Background Remover is an AI solution. First, users can go to the BGremover page. Then they will see buttons like Start Now or Remove BG Now. Clicking on a button will lead them to Background Remover workspace. Here choose Human Mode or Object Mode and AI will remove the background of a picture in a few seconds.

There are two ways to use VanceAI BGremover for bulk processing in business. One, you can go to VanceAI Background Remover Workspace where you will see Batch Process option. Upload the images you want to edit, and AI will remove background jpg or png automatically. Two, you can download VanceAI PC (the desktop version) to batch process jpg or png image backgrounds on the desktop.

On how to remove PNG background, VanceAI BGremover is an effective helper. With AI, there is no need to take much time to master complicated skills of removing PNG background. After an image is uploaded, this PNG background remover will remover or change a background for you, and also offers a desktop version that allows you to remove background PNG or JPG on the desktop.

1. Upload a photo with a white background on BGremover Workspace
2. Choose a remover mode according to the photo type and press Start to Process
3. Wait several seconds and you will see how to remove a background from a picture.

VanceAI PC is such a free background remover app that allows you to edit image background without manual effort. You will find background remover app free after switching to the online mode. This remove.bg app is called AI Portrait Transformer in VanceAI PC. The effect of the app to remove background from photo performs well just as the online BGremover does.

I have been using the Adobe Express Background Removal tool to snip out white backgrounds from scanned hand painted images. I have over 150 of them to do. This tool is very good at what it does, with minimal user inputs.

As of now Adobe Express does not have any batch editing but in Photoshop you can record an action using unlock background layer>remove background (properties panel)>save as>close file. Also you could create a droplet and dump the whole folder of files in it at once. Hope this helps.

In Apple's Preview app and in Keynote app you can remove background with a click or click and drag like instantly. Recently a friend show me how he removes a background with Pixelmator Pro, literally one click and everything around the object is gone. Knowing that Afinity Photo 2 is a powerful image editor and is marketing for the Pros, I need to know if there's a similar way to extract an object or delete a background with it. In the latest iOS update, I can touch an image on any photo on the iPad and copy just the person without the background instantly. That's how I'm doing as part of the workflow with Affinity Photo 2 on iPad, but today I was trying to do a fast edit on a picture and didn't find a way to achieve this. I literally Airdrop the pic to the iPad and copy the image with one touch and paste it on Affinity Photo, but it has to be a faster way on the desktop version, right? Well I learned you can do the same thing using certain apps on macOS like Preview and Photos and so on... Why I can't find a way to do it inside Affinity Photo? Pixelmator is using the Apple's API, obviously! Am I doing something wrong? Is because Affinity runs in Windows too and can't take advantage of macOS capabilities? Any idea of how to remove a background with a click or click and drag will be appreciated.

I'm interested in this too. Seems like a lot of effort has been put into background removal lately. Recent iPhone "pro" models even have a lidar scanner to collect depth information, primarily for background blurring and automatic dodge-and-burn shading or something. A bunch of "aWeSoMe AI" type services have popped up trying to do this too.

Fotor seems to have problems with "complex" backgrounds (where the subject and background are too similar in color, or the subject has wispy thin hair etc) even though it's another sUpEr AI type service.

I'm also curious what the difference is in Affinity Photo between the background erase tool and the selection brush because while the background erase tool seems to work pretty well, sometimes you just want a mask not a destructive pixel layer edit.

Having a background remover tool would be great. I started doing banner pictures for my daughter's sports teams. I can get the white background removed - just takes time - nothing like the one-click options on many online tools.
