Dear All

I am making contact because of the embarrassingly low turn out for the above scheduled Grounds Day last Saturday. Only 2 adult players, Darren and Thariq turned up and there was not a Colts Player or parent in sight, so when you add the familiar names of Jane Nokes, Angie & Nick, Karl and myself, there was only a handful of us. Perhaps I need to re state the ethos of the Club, what it isn’t is: A few give up their time so that the majority can turn up and just play cricket, what it is : We all pitch in and help.  We all have busy lives with commitments family, work etc, but the faithful few still managed to find time in their busy schedules to give up their Saturday morning, and to be honest if your reason for not showing us is that you can’t be arsed then I would suggest you need to take a look at yourself.

As a result of the poor turn out we therefore need to organise another Saturday morning to get all the jobs done that need doing, which is going to be Saturday20th October  All we ask is that you give us an hour or two if that’s all that you can spare. Hopefully we will see a few more of you on the 20^th.
