For a new wallet account that is just being created or imported, users can select their profile pictures on the Edit Avatar page which is the following step of setting up the newly added or imported account name.

If there is no supported NFT in this account, the page will automatically switch to the default icon carousel where the user can swipe to select a profile picture from a set of default avatar pictures (not NFTs) provided by DeFi Wallet. The same handling will be applied to the newly added accounts.

A default profile picture will be assigned to the existing users before they change their profile pictures. Users can always edit their profile pictures by clicking the edit icon in the upper right corner of the newly added profile picture in the Settings menu.

Users can use most of the image files as their profile pictures, such as JPG, PNG, TIFF, and etc. But be aware that vector graphic files such as SVG will not be supported and displayed on the Edit Avatar page. Other media formats like videos or 3D models can not be used as profile avatars either.

To secure the exchange of medical images between healthcare entities, telemedicine implementations must provide three security services: confidentiality, authenticity, and integrity [5, 6]. Confidentiality ensures that only authorized users have access to the transmitted image, whereas integrity verifies that the received image has not been manipulated by unauthorized users. Authenticity, on the other hand, proves that the received image comes from the correct source and belongs to the correct patient. These three services must be offered simultaneously to achieve reliable and secured telemedicine applications. Currently, cryptography and digital watermarking technologies are used to provide these security services [7, 8].

In the months since Bankman-Fried was charged with running a massive crypto fraud, US prosecutors and legions of reporters have begun parsing his every word (and deed) to expose gaps between his public persona and what really went on behind the scenes. He really did sleep in the beanbag chair, but he also had access to the jets his company chartered and a $30 million penthouse it owned at an exclusive resort in the Bahamas.

In previous crypto-mining attacks, we observed hackers investing little to no effort in hiding their malicious activities. They just ran the malicious container with all of its scripts and configuration files in clear text. This made the analysis of their malicious intent fairly easy.

One such cryptocurrency-mining attack was previously identified, with a malicious container image that was pulled from a public Docker Hub repository named zoolu2. It contained a number of images including Shodan and cryptocurrency-mining software binaries. The containers were being deployed as miners.

Once you're signed up for Twitter Blue, you must access Twitter on an iPhone, as the NFT feature is currently only available on iOS. The company said NFT profile pictures will roll out to Android and the web at a later time.

Imagine logging into Instagram and searching your name to find more than a dozen imposter accounts pushing crypto scams while pretending to be you. That's been Jason Sallman's nightmare for the past several years.

I created an encryption app using node.js crypto. But the encryption/decryption seems to only work on .txt files. I encrypted an image file, but when i decrypted it, it doesnt return the original image.

In this Instructable I will show you how to build a device that connects directly to your WiFi and displays the latest price for multiple different crypto currencies. This device uses a library I wrote to interact with the CoinMarketCap.com Api.

We want to program the ESP8266 with the software that it needs to run this project, but first we will need to get the sketch loaded into the Arduno IDE

  • Open the Arduino IDE and click File -> New
  • Now open your browser and go to the following link.
  • Select all the text at that link and copy it.
  • Now back in the Arduino IDE, select all the code from the default sketch and delete it (you should have a blank sketch)
  • Paste in the code you copied from the link
  • In the new window that opens, click File -> Save As and name the sketch whatever you like ("crypto display" maybe?)

  • In the Arduino IDE, scroll down to the section labeled "Configurations - Update these"
  • Change the ssid and password to be the name and password of your WiFi network
  • If wanted, change the CURRENCY. This will change the price the crypto currency prices are shown in, for example if it's set to eur, the value will be displayed in euro and if its set to usd the value will be displayed in US dollars. Check the currency drop down on CoinMarketCap.com for supported values (just take the lower case version of it)
  • If you change the currency, you might also want to change the CURRENCY_SYMBOL, this is the symbol displayed beside the price. The Euro symbol didn't work for me, but the $ and the do.

Great instructable and easy to follow! Like you, I am also obsessed with checking the crypto price, but don't want to use my phone for that - I want a dedicated device. So a while back we created a consumer-friendly crypto price ticker for those who are interested, but don't have the time to do it themselves. We call it the TicrThing - your hands-free crypto companion ( ).

Singaporean police have released pictures showing the results of a police raid that saw S$1 billion ($735 million) worth of assets, including luxury cars, expensive collectibles, and an unspecified amount of crypto seized from 10 foreign nationals suspected of money laundering.

Cryptoeconomic networks are a fundamentally new way to design and incent internet-based networks. They arise from cryptocurrency movements (like Bitcoin and Ethereum), but the fundamental shift between these and previous internet-based economies is the creation of open, decentralized networks and protocols. An example of a past such protocol is SMTP, which enables email; even though Microsoft owns Hotmail and Google owns Gmail, no one company owns the email-enabling protocol itself. Numerous companies can therefore build on top of it without being proprietarily blocked by Microsoft and Google or having to ask permission from the original developers. This is the defining feature of open networks.

But the bigger picture here is that airdrops are more than just free tokens. They can be used to help seed or set the tone for a cryptonetwork; for example, by drawing in coders and users (making it a more developer focused network) as opposed to say, speculators (price-focused) as token holders. Because the networks that win will be the ones that cut through the hype and come to market with functional code, building the right community early on is critical to success.

Bored Ape Yacht Club, often colloquially called Bored Apes, Bored Ape or BAYC, is a non-fungible token (NFT) collection built on the Ethereum blockchain. The collection features profile pictures of cartoon apes that are procedurally generated by an algorithm.

In February 2022, Gargamel and Gordon Goner's identities were revealed to be Greg Solano and Wylie Aronow, respectively, by BuzzFeed News.[27] Upon this revelation, Nicole Muniz, the CEO of Yuga Labs confirmed BuzzFeed's report.[27] Solano and Aronow went to Twitter, commenting they were doxxed and uploaded images of themselves next to their Bored Ape profile pictures.[27] Solano is a writer and editor, while No Sass and Emperor Tomato Ketchup are programmers.[27] Aronow, the son of boat tycoon Donald Aronow, has been documented as planning to attend an MFA program, before becoming addicted to crack cocaine, alcohol,[28] falling ill and becoming a cryptocurrency day trader.[29][23]

Solano and Aronow brought in two friends of theirs, No Sass and Emperor Tomato Ketchup, programmers who could handle the blockchain coding.[23] The latter two were knowledgeable in computer science, having studied the field at the same university Solano attended; however, they "were not crypto-savvy," having both written their first lines of Solidity code, a language used for smart contracts, in February 2021.[24]

Solano and Aronow came up with the concept of "a shared digital canvas: anyone who bought in could draw on it." They likened this canvas to a bathroom at a dive bar; this idea stuck with the two, and they created a science-fiction storyline centered around it. In an interview with The New Yorker, Aronow elaborated on the concept, which centered on early cryptocurrency investors all becoming billionaires:

Aronow clarified that apes were chosen as a mascot for the NFT because of the cryptocurrency phrase aping in, meaning to buy into a new currency or NFT with abandon, risking a significant amount of money.[23]

In October 2022, it was reported that the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission were investigating Yuga Labs amid concerns that their NFTs were unregistered security offerings.[39] Since the fall of Yuga's investor, FTX, there is a wider concern to regulate cryptocurrencies and NFTs.[5]

Full-time crypto trader and investment adviser Narges Moradabadi first embarked on her crypto journey in 2018, when she took a job heading the digital marketing department at a Tehran-based, crypto-focused firm.

Like all traders, she has profited and lost money on her crypto positions. But she views the losing bets as learning experiences and has leveraged that knowledge to trade in foreign exchange markets as well.

Burned, she fell back on trading cryptocurrencies to recoup her losses. For a while she was on fire, boosting her initial investment by as much as 50 percent, she said. But as happens with many traders, when a selloff took hold, she rode it down instead of cashing out, wiping out all of her gains and 40 percent of her original investment capital.
