Greetings
After reading the latest news from Rodgers, I'm disappointed with the announcement they put on their web site on Wednesday. Based on what I read on their site earlier and what they posted in TAO magazine, I was expecting some significant updates to the line of organs.
For about fifteen years, I played a Rodgers 837 with a MX sound module. It was a very fine organ to play on a weekly basis (excellent voicing by Rodgers Canada and superb after-sales service). When I left that position I decided I wanted an instrument for my residence. Based on my experiences with Rodgers I purchased a Rodgers 588 with tracker touch and a Roland 2.1 (CM220) external sound system to enhance the internal speaker system. I am very pleased with the organ and the tonal possibilities it offers, is endless.
I hope Rodgers will provide additional information about the 'revolution' they are bringing to churches and individuals. A 2 minute video extolling the latest developments by Rodgers doesn't provide enough information. Hopefully in the very near future, Rodgers will provide more details on their web site to promote this new endeavour. I am curious to see if the software upgrades will apply to the 588 series. Hopefully it does.
