This issue depends on some factors that you should test:
1 - Do you have a good graphic card? rodflash Video Screensaver will
play the video in fullscreen mode. Make sure you have a graphic card
good enough to do this. If you want to test this speed try opening the
video fullscreen in Windows Media Player.
2 - Is the video file too large? Using large video files (in length
and MB size) is not always a good idea since the video will be loaded
in memory before the screensaver starts. Depending on what is already
opened when screensaver starts it may be heavy to your computer to
handle these files. If you're opening a HD video, a video clip (~4
minutes) is a recommended size. An entire movie, for instance, will
not be a good idea.
3 - Do you have the right codecs for the movie? Do you have a codec
pack to play your movie? Do you have several codec packs? Several
codecs for the same type may conflict when trying to play a file. K-
lite codec pack have a nice tool that avoid this kind of conflict.
