Pin video allows the host to disable active speaker view and only view up to 9 specific speakers, while other meeting participants can pin one video on their end. You can also pin videos in Zoom Rooms.
If a participant is recording locally and pins a video, the pinned video will be recorded unless the participant who is recording changes their video layout. Pinning another participant's video will only affect your local view and local recordings, not the view of other participants or cloud recordings.
The host can also spotlight up to 9 videos. Spotlight video puts a participant as the primary active speaker for all participants. All participants will only see the selected speakers as active speakers. This feature is often used to spotlight a keynote speaker.
You may notice that the interface for your ORCID record looks slightly different from the interface in our current tutorial videos. We have been working hard to improve not only the speed but the all round user experience of the registry, including the look and feel of the interface. We will be rolling out new videos to reflect our updated registry soon!
If the autoplay parameter is present, the Vimeo player will attempt to automatically begin playback. However, please note that some browsers specifically block autoplay. In these cases, your video will revert back to the original thumbnail and controls, requiring viewers to select play to start playback.
There is no way to stop these autoplay restrictions; however, you can mute your video to ensure the autoplay is always honored. Just add one of the following parameters to the end of the player URL in your embed code:
?background=1: This parameter automatically disables all elements in the player (play bar, buttons, etc), autoplay, loops, and mutes your video on load. Please note: the background parameter is only supported for videos hosted by paid members. Learn more at 'Embed background and chromeless videos'.
