Replace 12345678 with your manager's ID, and Who and What with your first and last names. You can name the file whatever you want. When yo have the anyname.lnc (lnc begins with a lower case L) with the piece of code in the correct folder, you have to reload your save for the name change to take effect. I believe that after you have changed your name, loaded a save and then re-saved it, you can delete the lnc file and your name will remain as the one you had in the lnc file. If you don't delete the lnc file, it's changes will take effect on all saves when you load them, and whoever is assigned the ID you have in your current game will have his name changed.
hi guys, i've been trying to change the name of a player on football manager. i'm aware that a post regarding this has been done before. most guides recommend adding a text file to the lnc folder in the football manager database. however, i just can't seem to find the lnc folder; only editor data, games and skins.
I'm currently playing as Schalke, starting the 2020/21 season, and I've just noticed that one of the teams in the German 2nd division has it's name in blue (or is it purple?) in the league table and fixtures pages. I only noticed it because I'm playing them (Wuppertaler SV) in a friendly. I just wondered why that was the case. I've tried searching the forums but haven't found any posts about this kind of thing. Am I missing something completely obvious?
I've just checked and you're right, Wuppertaler are a feeder club of Schalke. But I've never noticed this before, and I've had other feeder clubs - earlier in this career I was Middlesbrough you have Darlington as a feeder club but their name never turned blue as far as I can remember.
The sortitoutsi real names fix changes the instances of fake names in Football Manager 2023 to the proper, real life names for awards, cities, stadiums and competitions, in cases where the actual name is not licensed, such as Premier League displaying instead of Premier Division. It will also fix the fact that the German and Japanese National teams don't call up real players. These are all fully save-game compatible.
There is also a club name changes file, which changes the names of clubs in a way which ensures that any nicknames entered in the default database are retained. This file includes the proper names for Brazilian, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian (including Napoli) and French clubs, as well as Manchester Utd, to circumvent licensing restrictions. It also adds real-life media and journalists, encompassing most major footballing nations and continents. Brazilian clubs' text colours are also changed through an editor data file. Another editor data file creates the Ajax non-playing staff and the German national team manager missing from the database due to licensing restrictions. Finally, it includes a small file which corrects the 3-Letter competition names to correspond with any changes made in the lnc files. For all the files in this paragraph to work, however, you will need to start a new game.
To make sure the files have been applied correctly, go to English Premier Division in your saved game, and it should be renamed to Premier League. If you are in the middle of a save-game when you install this download, Japanese and German national teams will be populated in the next instance that players are called up, and not immediately. Do keep in mind that this file does not add Japan-based players, who are not in the official database and will need a third-party add-on to be created and added.
Club names are only changed if you apply the editor data files before starting a new game. For a workaround if you've already started a new save-game, then please read the opening post of this thread.
Reason: When club name changes are done via lnc files, this removes the clubs' nickname, which is not the case if editor data files are used, which is why these are preferred. Since editor data files didn't work with the FM23 beta, club name changes were done via lnc files during the beta version. Once the full game was released, club name changes were switched back to the intended delivery method, i.e. via editor data files.
During the beta version, editor data files won't work. This means that club name changes won't work unless done using the lnc file, which consequently mean that nicknames are lost. It's an unavoidable side effect ?

They're slightly different to the original names. If there's anything you'd prefer to change, you can either suggest it here, or delete the line outright from the lnc file (or add a # in front of it to disable it in case you need to re-add it later).
when you are a creating a new profile for a new career I cant type in the first name and last name (im on a samsung phone btw) I press it says it just blank with no keyboard to type on so virtually I cant play. cany anyone help
Happens to me occasionally too in some saves, but on the searching for a player screen when you have a box to type in their name...everything just goes blank and you can't type.....annoying, but one happens every now and then and you just work around it

Despite the musical moniker, Steve Wonder Amaro Emiliano was always destined to be a professional footballer. His dad Marinho played as a winger for Brazil at the 1976 Montreal Olympics, and was capped 15 times in the 1980s.
There are 92 association football teams in the top four divisions of English football, all of which have a manager (sometimes given the title of head coach) unless the position is currently vacant. The Premier League and the English Football League (EFL) are the only fully professional football leagues in England. The Premier League is the top tier, and consists of 20 clubs at the top of the English football league system, while the remaining 72 clubs are split into three 24 team divisions of the EFL: the Championship, League One and League Two.

Henderson, who spent nine seasons (2003-11) as a linebacker with the Vikings, will be an integral part of the Vikings community relations team. He will help develop new community-based youth football initiatives, will zero in on health and safety issues and will work to expand Vikings programming in Greater Minnesota. Henderson will also assist with all Vikings youth football programs, including the Vikings of Tomorrow, USA Football, Community Quarterback Awards, the All-State High School Football Team, and Heads Up Football.
"I was fortunate to play my entire NFL career with the Vikings, during which time I grew to love this community and this state," said Henderson. "Staying committed to youth outreach after retiring from football has been important to me, and to be given the opportunity to bring that passion as part of the Vikings family is an opportunity I greatly appreciate."
Sanders comes with just three years' experience coaching college football, as he went 27-5 at Jackson State. The Tigers (12-0) completed an undefeated regular season Saturday with a 43-24 blowout of Southern for the SWAC championship.
"There were a number of highly qualified and impressive candidates interested in becoming the next head football coach at Colorado, but none of them had the pedigree, the knowledge and the ability to connect with student-athletes like Deion Sanders," Colorado athletic director Rick George said in a statement. "Not only will Coach Prime energize our fanbase, I'm confident that he will lead our program back to national prominence while leading a team of high quality and high character."
