I was suddenly (after three years with no problems whatsoever) unable to use my Zoiper phone. I have a local company that hosted it, so I contacted them. They advised an uninstall and re-install. Now that I have uninstalled it - I cannot find my version again. It had a skin like an actual phone. I have tried downloading "Zoiper Classic" and Zoiper 5 - but neither is the right one. Can I get my old Zoiper back? With my configuration information and contact list? I had a desktop version, where I am running Windows 8. I tried looking for it in "system Restore" but for some reason I don't understand, it wasn't there... Can anyone help?
Windows Desktop version of Zoiper keeps forgetting the SIP account after reboot. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling and this problem still reoccurs. I have to reload the account data every day or reboot to use this application.
The issue is that the free version keeps the configuration settings in the installation folder, and not in the appdata folder like the biz version does. You probably have several users overwriting each others configuration.
I've updated to the latest Zoiper Windows desktop version and since doing that I can't hear audio for incoming calls.
I've checked audio configuration, tested the headset and tried a different device for audio output. The the far end can hear me but I can't hear them.
none of the STUN options worked work for me. Called party can hear me, but I can't hear them. Also, there is no dial tone or similar, after dialling a number there is silence whilst it connects, then the timer restarts, and continuing silence. I have tested my audio device in setting and using other programs and it works fine. I have tried other audio output devices but have the same experience. If I run on my mobile, all is fine, so it is not my provider.
Are account details kept in a place that might be "cleaned" by the usual housekeeping apps such as in Temp folders? Seems most unlikely, but I see no file in the Program Files/Zoiper folder that look like account configuration files - they all just look like install/uninstall files.
If anyone knows why this happens - that would be GREAT. I have been using Zoiper for years (usually the Classic version - mostly because it allows for multiple registrations (3) in the free version - whenever I need to use a load-balanced / VICIdial setup).
Anyway - my version of this issue is - I have a station that has been working fine for almost a year. This morning, when the PC started - it had an "empty" (default) configuration file. This has happened on a few other stations recently - after a Windows Update - but - I was able to re-enter the settings, and everything stuck from that point (not sure why they were lost after the update, but - that's for another day).
I am using Zoiper for Android on Lenovo 7000 phone. For some reason I cannot turn on ring tone for incoming calls. I went into SIP account - Ringtone and set up a ringtone and it still does not ring. In Audio menu I was only able to turn on vibration for incoming calls. How can I turn on ringtone for incoming calls?

I have just started getting a failure to register by my Android Zoiper app. The desktop version works fine as well as a Grandstream softphone I also have installed. I see nothing in the logs that show and attempt at registration.
This error message is shown when the server is unable to process the request for some reason, for example when the service you are trying to use is unavailable.
Please make sure all account details and the server hostname are entered correctly.
I turned on tcpdump. With the Zoiper, I can see no packets arriving at the server at all yet the local VM is receiving packets. When I enable the Grandstream softphone, I can see the packets on my server.

The sound quality on Zoiper is good, right up there with today's standard desk phones. Voice calls come through clearly, even with the free version's uLaw and aLaw codecs. However, the sound quality is unstable when using video. As we discussed above, the video calling can be problematic, and it feels like the feature was rolled out just to keep up with competing softphones.
Call must be transferred correctly to C. B must be released correctly after the transfer. When C picks up, audio must work in both ways between test phone and C. When test phone is on hold, there is no audio between it and phone B.
