Rodale Garden Notes

Greetings!

Here are the notes from today's garden meeting.  We now have a google group: Rodale...@googlegroups.com.  You should have gotten an invitation to join - email me if you did not.  Also - if you were not at the meeting, please confirm your membership by signing up for open hours.

Agenda
Plots : Amy Althoff, Sina, and Amy Willis are giving up plots but retaining membership
* Need to confirm that kroutumo still want current plot

* Bed space will be given to Izzy, Sienna, Sandia (previous member planning to return), and Susan.  Amy Willis' former plot will be divided in 1/2.

Open hours: fridays 3 to 7, sat 10 to 2 and 2 to 6, Sunday 10 to 2 and 2 to 6 (need to sign up for at least 1 shift per month.
Lucia. Plus izzy next sat 10 to 2
Sienna next Sunday 2 to 6
John Saturday 9th from 10 to 2
Hazel sat 9th from 2 to 6

Need to fill:

Compost
* want chopping area
* need browns
* need to stick to correct bins for new compopst : maybe paint firectly on bins.  Hannah will paint.
* women's group has been maintaining every Friday: other members can help turn when they visit, check mousture, chop, etc.
* amy a and hannah will follow up with greenthumb about last year's compost workshop and delivery
* maybe make sifter or frame: amy a will look into or make.

Fire permit: thanks to hazel for renewing.  Also thanks for new calendar pages

Seeds: sienna will attend nyrp seed give away...

Hey all,

With bittersweet feelings, I have decided to move down south.  Florida to be exact.

I wanted to let everyone know at the meeting this morning, but I got caught up in last minute moving stuff.

I have loved being a part of the garden and hope to stop by and see whats going on when I'm in town over the summer.

I also wanted to let you all know so that my bed could be given to the next person on the list who is waiting for a bed space.

I won't be able to come today, but will likely stop by the garden tomorrow afternoon.  (Do we need someone to sign up for open hours?  I could do 2 - 6.)  Please let me know what work I can do then.  I'll also tend to the herb bed and possibly plant some new herbs, though it looks like the root stock was strong for the sage and a few others.
