Hi all Rocsta owners. I am considering very well about buying a Rocsta
but I am a bit dubious about how it performs on regular roads ( pot
holes, speed bumps, corners, etc...) because of the leaf springs! any
help pls? I intend to raise it on 2" shackles and put on 31-32" tires.
OK, I am not expecting any very comfortable ride, but is it too bad
for every day use( i live in Malta, so trips are relatively short
distances). tks a lot.

Hi Steven,

infact, the Rocsta is not that softly on a ride. - But you can make it easily much better on a very simple methode. - Release the tension of your leaf-springs one-by-one ... clen them all by a metel brush or an high-pressur-cleaner as fahr they will be dirty ... and than, you have to spray a special leafspring-grease inn between. take care about, that your brakes will be not affectet from that high-adhesiv grease. - don't take old moter-oel. - that would not last very long. - When your leafspring will be treatet like that, you will certainly believe in mirakles, I am sure about.
Just try it, and you wont miss that thing on your everyday use. I am sure, you wont regret, anyway - you will love it !!! - In case your wife wont like .... its just the wrong wife for you.

yours frank

Hi, Frank

Thanks for the quick reply. I thought it was the other way round, that
the Rocsta had a soft ride and fiddles a lot. Any ways yeah I would
certainly try anything to make it ride better.

Tks, Stefan

Hi Steven
the thing is not bad, really, but take your time to find a good one. - A lot of them will be too much too rusty, so be carefully and taky your choice and not just the next best.
Could give you a German speaking link ... www.4x4-treff.de go to forume "kia" and a you will find a lot of hints and a gallery, too.

anyway ... so so would like buying a british lokated one ... or will be there already a good one at Malta, you are suspiciously looking for.
In case you are ready for, just look very well - rust could be rather more than you are expecting. you know, also car-love makes blind ... somehow anyway. take your time to find a good one.

I will be buying one from Matla actually. there are a couple of good
once that were not used for off road. I was interested in one that had
an engine swap with a 2.0l Toyota. It should be more reliable and
more powerful then the 2.2l the rocsta have. Yeah I will take it to a
mechanic before buying any car for sure, he will do the checking for
me. We'll see when I find a good one then, because I still need the
money to buy one :D and get rid of my old scrappy golf first!!

hi steven ... for a really good one, finally you should not pay more than € 2500,--- respective the softtop-persenning still would be in a good condition, anyway. - so far it would licecened only on malta pollution, the body shold be in a good condicion. - nobody should have tried it alonside the shore of the sea-side. - salt will do its own work anyway, secretly. - so you like and if you can, send pictures from your thing, when ready ...
