Hey O-team,

I'm still coming down after a top O-ringen weekend. A big thanks goes out to the team that put all the events together, and also to all the participants for coming along and making it the special display of O-skill that it was. I wasn't particularly involved in displaying O-skill, but at least I made the same type of mistake on each of the 3 courses. Thus I know what I have to work on. Do you?

Adventure Racing

Also a quick snippet away slightly away from O. Adventure racing Team Cyanosis (of which one fourth is made up by our very own Nicholas Mulder) came 1st in the first event of the A1 Adventure Series South Africa last weekend. Check out the teams facebook page here. Some impressive results!

Junior Squad

Also check out the South African Junior Orienteering Blog here. They're all currently over in Sweden, getting faster I'm sure. They asked me to be part of the Junior squad, but I said that the Kaapsehoop O-ringen was more important.

I do like their in-depth analysis of each day's proceedings, with such gems as: "Tinus and I threw together a Chicken Ala-king. Tinus admittedly did most of the work and everybody found it very delicious". Keep it coming Junior squad!

!!Street-O!!

O-Ventures is once again putting on one of their top Street-O events, this time at Eagle Canyon on the 12th of May! All the details here, and you can enter on Orienter or directly with the organisers.

!!!Next events!!!

Next Sunday the 6th is the 9th Sprint event at Heronbridge College. Entries close on the 3rd, this Thursday! I've reattached the event sheet. See you there!

Also keep a look out for the Woodmead event going up on Orienter soon. 19th of May, night event. I'll send the event sheet out next week.
