Also, please help me in congratulating the following alums on joining or recommitting to serve you on the board.

We have some exciting thingsplanned for 2014.  Here they are:
  • RMGB team for Furry Scurry
  • RMGB holiday soup kitchen date(s)
  • Lifelong Learning - an educational event for local alums.
  • New Student Sendoff-Miko Brown of Wheeler Trigg O'Donnell  to host on July 13 2pm-5pm
  • Football Watch Parties: at Jake's Denver 3800 Walnut
  • Trip to Berkeley if CU plays at Cal (looking for group discounts re tix and lodging, possible RMGB event at Berkeley)
  • Cal teams for local charity
  • PAC-12 Alumni quarterly events:  (Q1-Bowling, Q2-Volleyball, Q3-Golf, Q4-Trivia)
Finally, I would like to thank all of you for your support, attendance, interest, and encouragement during my four years as president.  I have enjoyed meeting many of you-even if only via email.  (Hope to meet the rest of you soon!)   I love being a part of the Rocky Mountain Golden Bears, and look forward to continuing to serve on the board. If you haven't attended an event yet-please consider doing so in 2014.  As you might imagine, there is an instant connection when you meet a fellow Cal alum, and the feeling of having a Cal family in Colorado is a treasure!  In addition, our long-term goal is to begin raising money to give back to Cal, and we need to build a strong membership in order to do so.  I have worked for three years to diversify the RMGB events (not all of us like to watch football at bars), and believe that by stepping down from president to board member at large, I will be even more successful.  Our club is very lucky to have such dynamic, committed leadership, and I hope you will consider joining the board in the future.  Meantime, please stay tuned and join us for events!  The list above contains something for just about everyone...so come on down and have fun with your fellow Bears.
I remain
Yours truly,
Joy Castillo '96
